What is Vaping?

Inhaling and exhaling the vapour produced by an electronic cigarette device. Generally an e-cigarette device consists of e-liquid, Atomizer (tank) that holds the e-liquid and a device/mod (battery).

How does a Vaping device work?

All vaping products operate using the same principals. A battery powers a coiled wire, which heats a liquid solution known as e-liquid. The e-liquid is soaked into cotton which sits inside or around the coil. This produces a vapour which is then inhaled.

However, these fundamentals can be applied in various ways. Many products have been altered and developed to meet vapers different wants and needs.

What does VG and PG mean?

PG (propylene glycol) and VG (vegetable glycerine, or glycerol) are ingredients in e-liquid which create the vapour. PG is associated with a stronger flavour but with less visible vapour, whereas VG produces a much more visible vapour. The more VG content in an e-liquid, the thicker it will be. Generally, e-liquids are a blend of 70% VG and 30% PG.

How to choose an e-liquid?

To start, pick an e-liquid flavour that suits your taste. Some vapers are looking for something sweet such as dessert or fruit, other vapers who replaced smoking with vaping generally stick to tobacco flavours. Next, pick the nicotine strength. Vapers who like to exhale BIG clouds tend to chose no more than 3mg. For a stronger throat hit keep trying e-liquids 6mg and over till you find that sweet spot. additionally, pick an e-liquid that isn't too thick for your coil to absorb. If the e-liquid is too thick, the cotton in your coil might burn because it can not absorb the e-liquid fast enough. Finally, if you are a beginner vaper then you should buy e-liquid in small doses. Eventually when you find your 'holy grail' e-liquid, order that flavour in the biggest bottle size available to save money.
